Project Management Training Case Study:
Effective Project Delivery:Project Excellence in the Rail Industry
Effective project delivery has never been so important to the rail industry. With major programmes of investment planned in both the Main Line and Metro rail infrastructure over the next five years, effective project management has an important role in delivering efficiencies in return for continuing Government investment.
Efficiencies are gained from improved project management, better planning and tighter control of projects and more effective reporting. Reducing the reliance on external consultants for day-to-day management of projects not only gives significant cost savings but also enables staff to learn from experience.
