The APMP is the perfect complement to the PRINCE2 method. Delivering a project through an effective process is a proven formula for project management success. PRINCE2 offers a structured and effective methodology for successful delivery. APMP expands this knowledge and understanding to help you grow into a committed and capable project manager.
This means, APMP together with the PRINCE2 qualification will give you an understanding of the complete professional project management package. Now APM has developed a new route which recognises the prior learning gained from the PRINCE2 Practitioner Qualification offering the most effective way of enhancing your professional portfolio.
New Route - New Opportunities
APMP is an internationally recognised qualification recognising both your technical project management and leadership skills. It allows you to participate in a project environment as a specialist or a team member.
The APMP qualification is based on the APM's Body of Knowledge (BoK) 5th Edition which defines the 52 areas of knowledge required to manage any project in any environment.
The APMP qualification examines 37 topics from the APM's BoK. The new route to APMP (APMP for PRINCE2 Practitioners) builds on the prior learning gained in the PRINCE2 Practitioner qualification which cover 12 of these topics. Consequently as a registered PRINCE2 Practitioner, you will be examined on just 25 topics of the APMP syllabus.
